Regions in the Czech Republic, the same as in most European countries, show in their rural areas a considerable difference rate from points of view demographic, social, economic as well as from point of view of infrastructure. The paper deals with a proposal of a suitable methodological approach of regions comparison at a level NUTS 4. A main aim is to analyze disparities among regions (NUTS 4) within the Královéhradecký region (NUTS 3) in light of agriculture and the situation in rural space. An identification and a subsequent analysis of these differences and a determination of a certain sequence of regions can be beneficial for definition of trouble shooting regions and better support aiming.
